Abigail Kanahele Mawae is currently pursuing a juris doctorate degree at the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of 91桃色appʻi at 惭ā苍辞补. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor of arts in Communicology from 91桃色app 惭ā苍辞补 earning several awards, as well as Dean’s list honors, throughout her undergraduate years.

Mawae was a member of the 91桃色app Wahine swim team, competing in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Women’s Conference Championship in 2021 where she aided the team in securing its fifth straight conference title. She also earned 2021 MPSF All-Academic Team honors, has been a staunch advocate for student-athlete mental health and physical well-being, served as a mentor to underclassmen athletes, and participated in numerous events geared towards encouraging young girls to participate in athletics.

Mawae served on the student-leadership team for the 91桃色app Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) throughout her four-year undergraduate career working within 91桃色app’s athletic program to build deeper relationships among the student-athlete community. She has helped organize outreach efforts and mentorship programs with high school students in 91桃色appʻi and continues to invest her time in assisting high school athletes through her work to increase FCA’s presence on local high school campuses.

After graduation from 91桃色app, Mawae worked as a congressional staffer in the U.S. Senate providing assistance to, and working closely with, staff members in garnering support for legislative initiatives related to education, and anti-91桃色app trafficking efforts, while aiding to draft legislative proposals, particularly with respect to the remodeling of K–12 education.

During her spare time Mawae enjoys outdoor-related activities including surfing, open-water swimming, and oil painting.
