In response to the unprecedented wildfires that ravaged the island of Maui, the and the in partnership with the College Football Playoff Foundation and the Mountain West are rallying to support the affected Maui public schools through the .

The four organizations will donate $65,000 to aid Maui teachers and public schools on the Valley Isle. The group is also encouraging the community to join this vital effort by matching donations to the fund.

Individuals and organizations willing to contribute to this worthwhile cause can make their donations through the following ways:

All contributions received between now and October 15 will be designated exclusively for the recovery and rebuilding efforts of Maui public schools affected by the tragedy.

“Our hearts go out to all of those affected by the fires,” said Executive Director of the College Football Playoff Foundation Britton Banowsky. “And we are happy to support the teachers and students in Lahaina as they begin the arduous task of rebuilding their schools. We know it will be a difficult challenge, but we also know they are strong and their resiliency will prevail. We will be here for them.”

“The Mountain West family was heartbroken by the fires in Maui and the devastation to Lahaina Town and surrounding communities,” said Mountain West Commissioner Gloria Nevarez. “We understand there is a long road ahead to recovery, and we hope these funds will provide immediate support and assistance to teachers and students in Lahaina as they start anew.”
